The Positive Direction for Youth & Families Soaring Beyond Expectations is an FREE ACT/SAT program that provides test preparation services to youth in Guilford County, NC. This program offers youth a unique support system through the collaborative efforts of parents, schools, and the community. We focus on:

- Increasing Critical Thinking Skills
- Increasing Problem-Solving Skills
- Increasing College Readiness
- Increasing Leadership Skills
- Increasing Parental and Family Involvement
Through partnership with Guilford County Schools, Soaring Beyond Expectations provides test preparation workshops and one-on-one tutoring. The children also have an opportunity to visit several location institutions of higher learning.
Description
It is our desire that each student scores at least a 21 on the ACT and at least a1200 on the SAT. In turn, this will assist students with increasing their 2 or 4 year college/university acceptance rate as well as increasing their scholarship and grant earnings to offset the cost of college.
The program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00pm-7:30pm. Students will be equipped with the tools that are necessary.
